Happy National Jaychoke Day 2015!

Well, another year has come and gone, and it is time again to celebrate NATIONAL JAYCHOKE DAY! That's the day every year about this time we celebrate the Kansas Jayhawk basketball team's upset at the hands of a mid-major or other crappy and lower-seeded team.

This year, that team was the Wichita State Shockers, a seven seed, while Kansas was a two seed. You see, teams that have #2 seeds are supposed to be much better than #7-seeded teams. But we knew this was gonna happen. Otherwise, it wouldn't be NATIONAL JAYCHOKE DAY!

Check out what it says on that graphic: "5th loss as Top 4 seed prior to Sweet 16 since 2005."

The final score was Wichita State 78 and the Kansas Jaychokes 65. That's not much of a game. But we expected this because it's NATIONAL JAYCHOKE DAY!

Let us remember great NATIONAL JAYCHOKE DAYS of the past! What fond memories we have of KU and Bill Self choking, spitting out the bit, wilting under pressure, the flop sweat and the vacant stares, the frustrations and the agony, the X's and O's that were not pluses, but minuses, succumbing to the bright lights, and giving up. Yes, the sweet, sweet surrender to the inevitable. We can all search our memories for these lovely shining moments in NATIONAL JAYCHOKE DAY history:

We hope that you and yours have a safe and happy NATIONAL JAYCHOKE DAY! With that, we leave you on a high note, from Jaychoke fans who have had enough of choking:
